Affiliate Disclosure
TheGadgetPedia may earn a commission when you click through to a retailer and make a purchase, at no extra cost to you. This is how the site is funded — we don't charge you to compare gadgets or track prices.
How the links work
Every retailer link on TheGadgetPedia routes through an internal address in the form thegadgetpedia.com/go/{listing-id}, which records that a click happened and then redirects you to the retailer's own page. We validate that redirect destination ourselves — it only ever points to a URL we stored for that specific listing, never anything supplied by the click itself.
What commission never influences
Affiliate commission rates and sponsorship status play no role in our lowest-price calculations, deal scores, value scores, or buy-or-wait guidance. Those are computed purely from price history and product data. Where a listing is a paid, sponsored placement, it is labelled “Sponsored” directly on the listing — that label is the only thing that distinguishes it, not its ranking or score.
Prices can change
Prices, stock, and offers are checked on a schedule, not continuously — each listing shows when it was last checked. The retailer's own page is always the source of truth at the moment you buy; if a price has moved since our last check, we flag it as stale rather than presenting it as current.
